St. Margaret of Scotland Parish

Music Ministry

Get involved in the music program at Saint Margaret's. The Music Ministry Program consists of four main activities: 
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir sings a wide repertoire of music ranging from classical to more current liturgical music. The four voice parts are represented: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass, and four part harmony is emphasized. the primary instrumental accompaniment is organ, piano, and sometimes strings, brass and percussion. The Adult Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the church and sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays from September to May.
Folk Choir
The Folk Choir consists of adult and high school age members and sings a repertoire of contemporary music. Instrumental accompaniment includes guitar and keyboard. The Folk Choir sings at the 12:00 p.m. Mass on Sundays throughout the year.
Resurrection Choir
The Resurrection Choir is a group of men and women that minister to grieving families by leading the assembly in song at the funeral liturgies at St. Margaret Church throughout the year.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir is a group of women and men that perform a repertoire of music written for handbells. The Handbell Choir rehearses on Sundays after the 10:00 a.m. Mass in the school and performs for special liturgies (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Confirmation) throughout the year.
