Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

It is very important for all VBS volunteers to attend our final meeting before Vacation Bible School. Join us on Tuesday, July 13 at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria.

We are in need of CCD catechists, especially for Tuesday evenings. If you would like to share your faith with children on a weekly basis, and learn more about the teachings of the church please consider joining this important ministry. Training, resources and support will be provided if you volunteer to teach.
Baptism class for parents of children to be baptized will be Sunday, July 18 after the 12:15 pm Mass. Please call to register (412-921-1613.)
If you or a family member is ill and would like prayers said for them, you can call 412-341-4214 with your intention. We would also like to invite new pray-ers. There are no meetings to attend, and no dues. We will send you the prayer list each week. You can pray in your car on the way to work, at home, on your lunch time, wherever you are, or happen to be.

I wish to thank our parishioners who have donated their time, talent and materials, as they continue to beautify our church grounds by planting flowers, shrubs and bushes.

Resurrection Church (Brookline) will sponsor its Annual Fun Flair Festival on Wednesday, July 7 through Saturday July 10, 2010. Food, fun, games, and a Friday night dinner. For more information call 412-563-4400.
St. Pius X (Brookline) will have a “Chicken Marsala Dinner” on Sunday, July 11, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm in Cullen Hall. Dinner is being prepared by Bravo Cucina Italian Restaurant. Cost is $12.00. For tickets, call Paula at 412-884-2419.
SS. Simon and Jude Church (Scott Township) is holding their Annual Parish Festival on Thursday July 15 - Saturday July 17 from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The Festival will include ethnic food booths, BBQ pit, children's games, games of chance, rides, entertainment and skydivers, and much more.
